Archi Casa is proud to present one of our most significant projects to date, executed for the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Public Works in Kuwait. This monumental hospital project, with a total area of 695,000 square meters and a capacity of 1,168 beds, involved extensive collaboration with top-tier consultants Langdon Wilson International (USA) and Gulf Consults (Kuwait), and was constructed by The Arab Contractors. With a total investment of KD 304.0 million ($1 billion), the facility spans 13 floors and includes two basements. Our team meticulously managed the procurement of 169 types of furniture from 38 suppliers, totaling 27,844 product units, with an FF&E budget of $16 million (excluding medical furniture). The project demanded an impressive 124,725 hours of dedicated work to achieve the outstanding results.
In 2018, we embarked on an extraordinary journey, responsible for procuring all loose furniture pieces for the world's 3rd largest hospital. We were the masterminds behind every non-medical Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E), infusing charm, functionality, and comfort into every inch of this architectural marvel. Our expert team meticulously curated 169 different furniture types, sourced from 38 top-notch suppliers, to create an environment that captivates the senses. From the basement to the 13th floor, we carefully selected and procured 27,844 FF&E products, ensuring that each piece fit seamlessly into the grand vision of the hospital. No detail was overlooked as we managed an incredible 197 submittals, meticulously reviewing and evaluating every item to ensure perfection.
With a budget of $16 million dedicated to FF&E (excluding medical furniture), we balanced financial considerations with our unwavering commitment to excellence. Our aim was to create spaces that not only impressed but also provided the utmost comfort and functionality for patients, staff, and visitors. Collaborating closely with contractors, consultants, and clients, we orchestrated a symphony of transformation. From the 300-seat auditorium, where knowledge thrives, to the serene Medical Library and study hall, where learning takes place, we left no stone unturned in crafting spaces that inspire and nurture growth.
As we reflect on our contribution to this groundbreaking project, we stand tall, knowing that our passion for detail and expertise in FF&E procurement shaped the very heart and soul of this extraordinary hospital. Every piece we carefully selected and integrated has left an indelible mark, creating an environment that is as functional as it is captivating. We take pride in being a part of this project and are confident in our ability to handle such large-scale endeavors.
